What we do at Active Release Therapy

Injury assessment

Assessing your structures to specifically pin point where the course of the pain is before we do treatment to ensure we are eliminating the problem and you are leaving pain free and giving exercises to target that one area.

Sports Massage

Using a combination of sports massage techniques to eradicate your pain and loosening up stiff tight muscles.

A deeper pressure, that can be tailored to the client, which uses movement of the limbs to get into specific areas.

Pre-event/ post-event massage

This technique is used to people partaking in sporting activities. It flushes out the muscles getting you prepared for race day or other sporting activities and speeds up recovery time. To be booked before and after the event

Stretch therapy

Stand alone sessions or added onto another service. Benefits those who feel particularly tight and inflexible. Articulates the joints, increasing range of motion, lengthens the muscle fibres and loosens tendons and ligaments

Deep Tissue Massage

A more relaxing but deep pressure massage that doesn't require as much movement of the limbs. Targeted at reducing stress from the body and leaving you more loose and relaxed.

Postural correction

For those who sit at a desk all day or spend a lot of time looking down on their phone. Assessment of which structures need aligning and working specifically on those to get your body in a more neutral position.

Cupping/ myofascial release

Gentle or more deeper cupping can be applied to lift the layers of skin and release tension and break down adhesions from the connective tissue that sits between the muscles and skin. Helps with restrictive movement and creates a less sticky, tight feeling.

Kinesiology taping

supports muscles and joints, promotes healing, and reduces pain without restricting movement. Ideal for injury recovery, posture correction, and performance enhancement. The tape improves circulation and reduces inflammation, helping you stay active and pain-free.

Im Jen, currently studying level 5 sports massage which involves in depth injury analysis, programmes for exercise to continue your rehab outside of our sessions, gait analysis and biomechanics so I have a real understanding of how the body moves and how we can get it restored to how we should be moving. Mobility is my passion and I strive to give this gift to clients and share knowledge on how to create longevity in being pain free and feeling comfortable in their own bodies.
